Since I started working with an assistant, I am able to get some behind the scenes video. I am super excited to be able to share snippets of each session with you.
It might be cold outside, but in the studio we keep it nice and cozy for your newest arrivals! By the end of your shoot, you will probably feel like you just did a hot yoga class lol.
This precious girl is my first of 2025 and it is already promising to be a busy year, here at the studio. Take a look at all the goodness we captured in this newborn session.
It has been a few years since I have made any changes to my session pricing and it was time. I felt like there was confusion with the prior system so I clarified it all into 1 package for each type of session. This doesn’t mean the packages are more expensive though!
Mom had her hands full bringing all 5 kids to the session solo. Dad was unable to attend due to work but we were able to capture some precious photos of their new baby girl.
This is one of my favourite client families! I have photographed them for a few years now, and I was so excited to hear they were having a baby girl.
When larger sessions aren’t in your budget, it is still a treasure to capture a few images of your new baby. This mini session brought the most adorable young lady with a gorgeous head of hair.
The mini session includes 5 digital images, but trust me when I say you will want MORE! I know budget is a big factor in which package you select but there are certain memories that are worth the investment.
I love big families and don’t often get many in my studio. It was fun squeezing everyone in for the family photos.
This commercial jingle still holds space in my brain from waaaay back in the 80’s. It was about butter and all I remember is butter running down a cob of corn with the music, “they call me mellow yellow”. It is so odd, the things our brain remembers and the things that it doesn’t remember lol.
We do our best to help your little one be happy and comfortable. Often this means we don’t get a large variety of images, but we strive to get a few great ones to treasure.
Lately I have been feeling very sentimental and emotional over photos. My children are all growing so fast. My oldest got her Learners License today and can now DRIVE, which blows my mind. How do the years go by so quickly? She was just my little pre-school buddy and suddenly all she wants, is to be away from me 🙁
It is so fun when a little sister arrives into a family of boys. I just know it will change everything!
If you are wondering what a FULL posed newborn session looks like, here it is!
My dear friend recently welcomed a baby girl to their family. It was an honour to welcome and photograph her second daughter more than 9 years later. Big sis was one of the first babies I ever photographed. It seems fitting, upon JIP’s 9th Anniversary, to share this session.
This fall I had the pleasure of being “in” on such a fun surprise. My golden hour family clients came and asked me to photograph Mama so as not to show her baby bump. They were keeping the pregnancy a secret from their family, so they could show up one day and surprise them with a new grandbaby. I thought this was incredible, especially considering they saw their extended family DAILY!!!
This is one of the questions I get asked most often by my clients! What is a Posed session? I offer two styles of photography for your session, Lifestyle and Posed. This blog post is all about my Posed style of photography.
