Another fall family photo season is upon us!

With multiple reschedules due to weather this year, I just finished photographing my very last session.

My dear friend recently welcomed a baby girl to their family. It was an honour to welcome and photograph her second daughter more than 9 years later. Big sis was one of the first babies I ever photographed. It seems fitting, upon JIP’s 9th Anniversary, to share this session.

This fall I had the pleasure of being “in” on such a fun surprise. My golden hour family clients came and asked me to photograph Mama so as not to show her baby bump. They were keeping the pregnancy a secret from their family, so they could show up one day and surprise them with a new grandbaby. I thought this was incredible, especially considering they saw their extended family DAILY!!!

This is a great starter session if your budget is low. I know everyone wants all of their images but it isn’t often financially possible. I know photography is an ‘extra’ and that buying food and paying bills always trumps family photos.

This time of year is so magical, especially when you have children! I love watching my children count down the days to Christmas. Seeing them participate in so many fun, family activities that make this season so wonderful.
