Branding mini sessions are such a fun, powerful way to refresh your business visuals without committing to a full session. But because they’re shorter and more focused, preparation is everything. The more intentional you are ahead of time, the more confident you’ll feel—and the better your photos will turn out.
Here’s how to make the most of your branding mini session in 7 simple steps:
1. Get Clear on Your Brand Message
Before you even think about outfits or poses, ask yourself: What do I want these photos to say about my business?
Are you aiming for warm and approachable? Clean and professional? Bold and creative? Your photos should visually communicate your brand personality, so having clarity here will guide every other decision.

2. Plan Your Outfits Strategically
Choose 1–2 outfits that align with your brand colors and style. Stick with pieces that make you feel confident and comfortable—this always translates on camera.
A few tips:
- Avoid busy patterns or distracting logos
- Stick to neutral or brand-aligned colors
- Bring simple layers or accessories for variety

3. Think About Props (But Keep It Simple)
Props can help tell your story—but they should enhance, not overwhelm.
Consider bringing:
- Your laptop, notebook, or phone
- Tools you actually use in your business
- A coffee mug or small personal touches
Keep it intentional. Less is more.

4. Prep Your Hair, Makeup, and Nails
You don’t need anything over the top—just aim for a polished version of your everyday look.
- Neutral, timeless makeup photographs best
- Make sure nails are clean and simple
- Avoid trying anything brand new right before your session
You want to look like you, just a little elevated.

5. Practice a Few Natural Poses
You don’t need to be a model—but it helps to feel a little prepared.
Think about:
- Relaxed smiles
- Looking away from the camera
- Simple movements (walking, adjusting your hair, laughing)
Don’t worry—I will guide you. This just helps ease nerves!

6. Get in the Right Mindset
Confidence is key. Try to come into your session relaxed and excited—not stressed or rushed.
Let me know your favourite song because we are going to have a 30 second dance party to help ditch the awkwardness that is felt at the start.
Remember you don’t have to be perfect—you just have to be you.

7. Trust the Process
This is the most important step.
You’ve done the prep—now let me do what I do best. Trust my guidance, lean into the experience, and have fun with it. Some of the best moments come from the in-between, candid shots.

Your brand deserves to be seen—and more importantly, remembered. These photos aren’t just for your website or social media… they’re how your audience connects with you, before they ever book or buy.
If you’ve been putting off getting branding photos, consider this your sign. There are only 3 spots left for this Saturday.
If you’re ready to show up confidently and elevate your brand presence, I’d love to work with you.
